A Traveling Library
In collaboration with the University of Illinois Extension, the Beet Box distributes recipes featuring in-season local produce. Since 2019, it also doubles as a traveling Little Free Library.
Donate new or gently used children's books by bringing them to the Market info booth. Spanish language books are appreciated.
Beet Box Impact
We are committed to providing residents of our area— regardless of income, transportation restrictions, mobility issues, or other external hindrance—access to sustainably- and locally-produced, healthy fruits and vegetables. The Beet Box, our mobile farmers market, travels to bring produce and nutrition education to Madison county residents living in underserved communities.
